Sheriffs' Relief Association

The Sheriffs’ Relief Association was organized in March 1924 by Sheriff Eugene Biscailuz as the benevolent arm of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Its primary purpose was to address the needs of Department members during individual times of family crisis. It has since expanded its role to provide a variety of additional services to its membership, which is composed of sworn and civilian and current and retired employees who maintain their active status in the Association by paying dues collected monthly via payroll deduction. And, with a few exceptions, the current benefits for both sworn and civilian and active and retired members are basically the same.

LASD Elite Team was the winner of the 2018 1st Responder Challenge and its donation to the Sheriffs' Relief Association will contribute to provide service and support to over 19,500 sworn and civilian and active and retired members.
